Stunning Location within a Walled Village Located
on the Edge of the Haute-Minervois in the Cesse Valley

Bize-Minervois is a beautiful walled village sheltering the 13th century church at its heart. The River Cesse ambles through the village where it forms a charming natural swimming pool with pebble beaches. Within the village there are 2 general stores, bakery, butcher, pharmacy, medical centre, 3 restaurants, cafe-bar, sweet shop, newsagent, post-office and weekly market on a Wednesday morning. In neighbouring Cabezac, L'Oublio Cooperative, on the road into Bize, produces award winning olives and oils. There are a further 3 restaurants and a cafe bar.

Vineyards and Olive trees cover the hills, producing an abundance of wine and olives. Excellent for walking, cycling, fishing and riding, the area has a variable landscape through which the Canal du Midi meanders. Narbonne and Beziers both have beautiful historic centres with magnificent cathedrals, museums, excellent markets, shops and restaurants all within 40 minutes drive.

Steeped in Cathar history, the area boasts many impressive castles and abbeys, La Cite at Carcassonne is within an hours drive. The winding lanes and alleys are lined with shops and restaurants where you can soak-in the atmosphere in the shadow of the imposing fortifications. The Mediterranean beaches are less than an hours drive. Popular resorts have everything on hand and off the beaten track, more secluded beaches can be found.
